I'm glad you were able to do it. The fact that you are able to ask them for help shows how much better your relationship is getting, and I'm really happy to see that. And I am sure they are more than happy to be helping their daughter.

I think sometimes parents need to be needed. I'm sure they would much rather that the situation didn't occur in the first place, but life unfortunately does not cooperate. Things will balance out in the end... I am sure that there will come a time when they need your help, too.
